Suitability:
Would Nunnally be able to fit in and work in the world of Zodion?
I say yes because given her overall canon (not just in NoN), she lives in a world where everyone is constantly fighting. While in the beginning she was sheltered and protected from the ‘big bad outside’ by her brother, she grows to see the world as both a place where despair is formed and where hope is planted. She would try and do all that she can to help the Twelve create a world where there is no more fighting. In her particular canon, Nunnally did fight alongside the doll Nemo in her own Knightmare but refused to kill anyone. That might be tough if she goes on the front lines but she seems to be more of a healer type so it’s safe to say that she would be fine when it comes to battles and other fights.
As for worship…of course like anyone who isn’t experienced, she’s going to be very leery and nervous about any form of sexual contact given who she’s been around and the fact that in order to build the world, one has to have sex? Nunnally would most likely not want to do anything until it’s deemed necessary. Not to mention despite being from different universes, some of her castmates would prevent her from doing it for the first time (Looking at you mostly, Lelouch). However, after being there for a bit and get close with others outside her cast as well as with her cast, Nunnally would be a little more open minded about worship. It’s a part of that growing up experience and she wants to be more comfortable around others and have that kind of intimacy with someone.
Even if her family totally disapproves.
But could she live on her own? She’s shown in the series that she is not a frail girl but everyone just seems to want to protect her. Lelouch tells her and Nemo to stay out of the fighting, C.C says the same thing and even her friend Alice does the fighting for her in the end. Nunnally when she gives Alice the badge of knighthood even states that she doesn't want someone to protect her but rather someone would will walk with her into the future she wants to build. I believe that living in Zodion would give Nunnally that sense of independence and that final push for her to be the woman she wants to become.
Power: Cleansing aka the healing power
Personality:
If one were to describe Nunnally, they would say she is kind hearted, patient, and understanding. We also see in ‘Nightmare of Nunnally’ that she is a strong woman despite the inability to walk or see. While people do notice her kindness, they are unaware that she too can get angry and feel like someone should pay for their crimes.
Nunnally is extremely kind hearted and judges no one until she understands who the person is. Unlike other Britannians or royals, she doesn’t refer to the Japanese as ‘Elevens’, the name given to the Japanese people after being conquered but calls them ‘Japanese’. In general, she treats everyone with the same respect and kindness even if they’re mean and spiteful to her. When a group of girls arrive to bully Nunnally, she replies in a neutral way and excuses herself to go to class but the head bully, Ekterina, goes a bit further by saying that Nunnally is a freeloader and from ‘some poor noble family’, she replies:
We see in this statement that Nunnally’s view of people is not skewed by most of her family’s vision and while she is a princess, she doesn’t throw that title around but instead taking the higher road as some would say. We see that she has made friends with the student council and Milly Ashford whose family had taken in Nunnally and Lelouch after the war, in which she expresses how grateful she is to the president.
Along with this kindness, we can also say that Nunnally can be stubborn at times. The most obvious is when Lelouch tells her and Nemo not to get involved in fighting and she ends up doing it. During the hostage situation at Lake Kawaguchi, Lieutenant Colonel Kusakabe tells her that the “stubbornness must run in the bloodline” after she tells him that she had no intention of helping him. It didn’t help that he knew her as a princess and revealed it. Even after explaining his idea, she still refuses to help him.
With this stubbornness, Nunnally also shows maturity that we don’t see in the original version. Like in the previous examples with the bullies and Kusakabe, she doesn’t whimper or whine but holds steady to her side despite how much they rant and rave in order to win.
Family and friends are important to Nunnally; they’re everything to her. We see her relationships with everyone she surrounds herself with: Lelouch the caring older brother and how big of an impact we see he has made on her. Unlike in Lelouch of the Rebellion in which Nunnally is the driving force, in Nightmare of Nunnally, Lelouch is Nunnally’s driving force for why she fights with Nemo and has the power of geass. After he vanishes, we see how much it impacts her daily life and how she seems to dislike her own country (It changes in the end).
When she is reunited with him, it’s bittersweet because now he must take the mantle of C.C. the Demon King and spread chaos throughout the world. But despite this, there will always be the love they share as siblings. Another driving force in the series is Nunnally’s best friend Alice (aka the female Suzaku minus the spin kicks): she’s seen hanging with Nunnally a few times within the series, helping her get rid of the bullies mentioned above (by cleverly removing the other girls’ skirts thanks to her geass called ‘The Speed’) and being there when the princess needs her.
Alice in Nunnally’s mind is another source of courage, someone who has the ability to stand up to people and ideals that seem wrong: the power that she lacks even with geass and Nemo.
While Nunnally is all sweet and kind hearted, don’t assume that she can’t get angry. Because she can and will:
We see this as Lelouch goes missing in the Shinjuku Ghetto and Nunnally goes off to find him, only to fall out of her chair and smell charred flesh. Of course she has the right to be pissed off: her mother dies right in front of her, and she loses her ability to see and walk all in the same day, gets sent to Japan as a political hostage and goes into hiding. After making the contract with Nemo, the doll takes the form of an albino Nunnally and tells her that as her payment, she had taken all the darkness in her heart. This shows that while the girl shows everyone how sweet and kind she can be, that she too has darker thoughts and feelings. Even when she doesn’t want to acknowledge it.

[When the camera turns on, the owner isn’t the one who did it. She is sitting on the bed with her hands folded and head down, her face not showing to the rest of the network. Whoever she is, the obvious emotions are either sadness, anger or worry depending on who sees this.]
I don’t know what to do.
[When she speaks, it’s slightly quivering as if she was scared. But she shouldn’t be after everything back home: Geass and Nemo, her family’s involvement with the land of Eden Vital, and the choice she had made to keep the world she wanted…even at the sacrifice of those she had loved dearly.]
I wish you were here Lelouch, you usually know what to do even in a place so far away from home. Even when we first arrived in Japan you had everything under control.
[That first memory of when they arrived at Genbu Kururugi’s estate…when Lelouch had described the building both of the siblings would live in as a grand palace while in reality it was far from it. If it wasn’t for Suzaku, Nunnally would’ve kept believing in that lie. But there was no Lelouch here. Or Euphie, Suzaku, or even Alice.
Alice…her knight.]
She must be so worried about me right now. I hope she’s alright, she’s been through enough already that I don’t want to feel like I’m being a burden by coming here.
[She sighs as she rubs the inside of her right thigh, the mark of the Twelve still fresh and the reality that Nunnally feared: she was no longer in Japan.]
I know that I’m trying to make home a better place but couldn’t the Twelve bring me when I finished? There’s still a lot of work to be done.
[Nunnally glances over, violet eyes widening at the communicator recording everything.]
H-How long has that been on?!
[She wasn’t angry, more like mortified that the thing turned itself on and recorded something very private to her! There was no one from home here and who knows how many people have seen this! The princess ambassador suddenly scrambles to her feet and walks over to the device, picking up.]
I’m so sorry! That wasn’t supposed to be on!
[No use now, best to try and make the most of this situation. And she smiles, trying to hide her embarrassment.]
I..should introduce myself. My name is Nunnally Vi Britannia and I just arrived in Zodion. It’s nice to meet everyone here and I hope we get along well.
[That should work, right? And soon, the feed ends.]
"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry:
It’s strange how things can start out.
Nunnally can attest to that statement and not leave out any details. Her whole history from birth to her mother’s ‘death’, arriving in Japan, meeting Alice for the first time…even Nemo and the power of geass. That was something she could not erase from her mind no matter how much someone would try to. It was imprinted in both her mind and her heart. And that’s why she wanted to be the goodwill ambassador to Japan and help the world become kind and gentle one step at a time. Not like wanting to use her geass to return everything to its natural state: to watch humanity grow and hope for a better tomorrow. Too long she has lived in the past and it showed when she had lost her sight and the inability to walk. But now, she had regained both by facing her fears and self doubts. She had made her choice to live in the world that is flawed.
To live in the world where Lelouch has become the Demon King C.C. Where she along with Euphemia will try and repair the bonds of the newly freed nations from Pax Britannia. Where she has made her best friend someone to stand beside her no matter the outcome not in order to be protected but because she wants someone to walk with into the future that she has chosen. To make that kind and gentle world with her own two hands.
And yet…why is she standing in Eden Vital again?
The clear sky, the soft grass…was it another area of the paradise that Nunnally knew nothing about? Was this another plan of Mother and Father’s?
“They’re gone now. But…I’ve already chosen what I wanted. Why am I here again?”
The first thing she had to do was look for Alice, she was standing right next to her before coming here so whoever did this had to have brought her along too, right?
“Alice? Alice?!”
It couldn’t be real…Alice would never want to leave Nunnally alone in a place like this. Not after the first incident at Kamine Island.
“How did I get here?”
That was the important question on Nunnally’s mind: she doesn’t remember falling asleep on the roof or anything like that. It was like she closed her eyes for just one second and then suddenly, she’s here.
She looked up and noticed something in the distance…some type of arches. That wasn’t at Kamine Island before… Nunnally had to squint her eyes for a moment because she thought she saw something else in the area.
“What is that?”
Driven by her own curiosity, the princess slowly walks towards the unknown altar. There was something there…like it was calling to her, telling her to come closer and look at what was waiting for her at the end. Then she sees it: a small stone with a box sitting in the middle of it around the clearest water that Nunnally has ever seen. Just like a child, she reaches for the liquid, testing to see if it’s real or not but the box…the pull for it was greater. She drops her arm and steps over the pool of water, choosing the box instead.
Right when she steps over, the water rushes upward, startling the young woman but Nunnally couldn’t even make a proper reaction because at that moment, there was a pain on the inside of her right thigh. She makes a silent gasp as she grips the area where the pain was coming from, looking down to see something that wasn’t there until now:
A small tattoo.
Nunnally could barely make it out but she voiced her thoughts out loud.
“Where have I seen this symbol before?”
This couldn’t be just a fluke. Not like how it was back in the Shinjuku Ghetto…no, that wasn’t one either. She looked up again, this time at the box. “Maybe this will give me the answer I’m looking for.”
And she opens the parcel, taking notice of the phone and letter inside. It was addressed to her after all. She read the letter twice, the last time out loud to herself in order to let it sink in.
“‘Dearest Nunnally,’”
The princess frowned at this. “How do they know me?” she had to ask herself as she continues.
“ ‘It is our great pleasure and honor to welcome you to Zodion.
There is naught else we can share, for it is not yet the time for such things to be revealed. Know only that we are twelve of great power. You will find that if you think of us, our names will be known to you and so too will the task you have been entrusted with become clear.
Go forth, we implore you, and worship. The fate of the cosmos depends on it.’ “
A sudden pit started to form at the bottom of her stomach. It wasn’t the fact of worship which made Nunnally feel dread sip into her soul but the last line of the note: ‘The fate of the cosmos depends on it.’
Beings from another galaxy felt like she’s important enough for this task? Cosmos was very different from world after all.
“Can I…really help?”
